Apple Ads MCP prompts that work

Use Apple Ads MCP prompts to review campaigns, find search terms spending without installs, compare periods, check daily budgets and prepare controlled changes.

Confirm the account first

Check my Apple Ads connection, show the selected ad account and list its campaigns. Keep the connection read only.

This uses apple_ads_get_access_status, apple_ads_whoami and apple_ads_get_campaigns. Use returned IDs in later questions rather than guessing a campaign or ad-group ID.

Review campaign performance

Report my campaigns for the previous seven complete days. Show spend, taps, total installs, tap-through installs and view-through installs separately. State the timezone, currency and resolved dates.

Keep different currencies separate. A missing metric is not a zero. If the response is truncated, follow the continuation fields before calling a result an account total.

Find search terms to investigate

For campaign ID [use an ID from my campaign list], show search terms with spend and no tap-through installs for the previous seven complete days. Include the term, match type and keyword identifiers where Apple returns them. Do not change anything.

Search-term reports require the ad account's timezone, ORTZ. A term with no recorded installs is a review candidate; it does not by itself prove that a negative keyword is the right action.

Compare two periods

Compare these campaigns across the two complete seven-day periods ending yesterday. Show spend and install changes, use period totals for rates, and flag missing or incomplete data.

The client must resolve both inclusive date ranges before calling apple_ads_compare_periods. A percentage change from a zero baseline is returned as null.

Check daily budget pacing

Check today's spend against daily campaign caps and the trailing seven-day daily average. List campaigns at or above 90% utilization and identify shared caps that were not evaluated.

Use apple_ads_get_budget_pacing. It evaluates daily caps, not lifetime budgets, and does not pretend an unevaluated shared cap is safe.

Prepare a change for review

Inspect campaign ID [my campaign ID] and propose a daily budget in the account currency. Show the current value, proposed value and reason. Wait for my decision before writing.

A proposal does not grant spend access. If you decide to proceed, explicitly enable the spend tier with ENABLE SPEND CHANGES, then authorize the specific change. Check the returned readback. If the write may have succeeded but verification failed, inspect the resource before retrying. Return to read only when you finish.
